RAFTING
IN NEPAL
Nepal
is also popular for rafting. The main source for the river system in Nepal
is the marvelous and splendid Himalayas in the north. To raft one does
not need any formal training or experience. What you need is courage and
spirit of adventure. We provide you well-trained and experienced river
guide with good quality equipments.
Climate
& Period for River Trips
The best season for rafting is October and November. During this time,
rivers are moderately high, temperatures are warm and the skies seem clear
with fine mountain views. Rafting is not recommended during June, July
and September. From December till early February water is cold and river
level low. From late February to early April is also good time for river
running - river levels are reliably low, air temperature warm and blue.
The disadvantage is that the air is often hazy: one cannot be assured
of stunning mountain views and there may be occasional shower of rain.
Short Trips
Short trips take between one and four days and do not involve any trekking.
Some of these trips involve less challenging white water and are ideally
suited to first time rafters and families. Others attract experienced
thrill-seekers with their world-class rapids.
